The labyrinth as meditation tool

Walking the labyrinth is a type of meditation.  In the
quiet of 'just' walking we often find the answers we
are seeking.  Walking a labyrinth is a way to get in
touch with the inner self.  All of us need a time to be
able to forget the daily stuff we all have.  The path
in the labyrinth allows us to just take a deep breath
and follow it with no concern about getting lost.  In
the center is a spot that we can reflect gently on
who and what we truly are.  As we walk the path
back out of the labyrinth, we take with us a new
sense of ourselves.

Walk in love, peace and joy.

Welcome to Sacred Journeys

Sacred Journeys is dedicated to the path of the labyrinth.
Denny Dyke started his studies in metaphysics through the
United Centers for Spiritual Learning and became a
licensed practitioner after four years of training.  Denny
then began teaching beginning metaphysical and
meditation classes.  In 2002 he walked his first labyrinth at
an event hosted by Reverend Pamela Kilbourne, minister
of Sacred Space Ministries.  For the next year Denny was
mentored by Reverend Pamela in all aspects of the
labyrinth.  When Reverend Pamela moved to New Zealand,
where she continues her ministry of the labyrinth, Denny
created Sacred Journeys to continue with his path of the
labyrinth.

A labyrinth is not a maze

The metaphysical labyrinth's path has a single path which
will always lead to the center.  It has been expressed as a
metaphor for life - sometimes we seem to be off center and
going in circles, but if we continue on we will reach our goal.
The metaphysical labyrinth is not to be confused with a
maze which has a challenging path with many choices of
which way to turn and dead ends .
