Circles in the Sand
A Labyrinth Experience 2011
75 foot Chartres labyrinth at Elephant Rock,
Bandon, OR

Drawn in April 2010, this was the first labyrinth of this
size Denny had done, the path is 30 inches wide and
it is one quarter mile walk from entrance to center -
entire walk one half mile.
About an hour after the tide started to come in

another blank canvas is formed

Drawing circles in the sand has
become a passion with Denny,
founder of Sacred Journeys.    He
found the Coquille Point beach a near
perfect canvas on most days.
                Draw ON !
The intent of Circles in the Sand is to
provide temporary labyrinths that
everyone can enjoy and have a better
understanding of them.  Denny is a
member of The Labyrinth Society and
Labyrinth Network Northwest.
Pictures below show the tide
reclaiming the beach and taking the
labyrinth out to sea.

July 2011
Circles in the Sand has finished up for July and it is hard to
believe how fast time has gone.  Thanks to all the walkers I
have met on the beach.  August 4th, I am heading back to
Yachats and draw in support of their proposed labyrinth in
town.  I have a few scheduled drawings in August, but tides
and sand are changing quickly.  Mark September 14th on your
calendar - Cycle Oregon is visiting Bandon and I will be
drawing at Coquille Point Wayside ! !
